Shawn Chase presented BIANC and other community and Brain Injury resources to 24 Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors

November 17, 2010 in Pembroke, NC
Shawn Chase, new Training Coordinator, provided training at a group home for 5 staff dealing with a new resident with a TBI to help them understand brain injury

November 8,9,10, 2010 in Raleigh, NC 
BIANC provided a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) class for national certification to 20 individuals from across NC. Vickie Pennington and Ombudsman Linda Hilton from Charlotte assisted with training and sharing some of Linda's legal and family issues.

October 29, 2010 in Cary, NC:
Annual Symposium: Setting the Course-New Directions in Brain Injury Recovery
Susan Connors, President of BIAA, was keynote speaker. Over 100 people attended.

BIANC provided training to SOC (Systems of Care) Coordinators who work with children and their families with multiple service needs through the LME offices

August 3, 2010 in High Point, NC
BIANC provided training for the 12 Brain Injury Ombudsman Program volunteers to review referral procedures and intake process

August 14, 2010 in Wilmington
BIANC provided a half-day of training on Behavior interventions, Family adjustments, and Substance abuse and Mental Illness with brain injury for 50+ staff of New Hanover Regional Hospital and community partners
